WHAT IS FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE?
Precise needle work on and around the face
Facial acupuncture uses very fine needles at selected points on the face, head, neck and upper chest. The plan may also include points on the hands, legs or elsewhere on the body.
“Natural lift” is the name used in the service catalogue. It does not mean surgery or promise that tissues will be lifted. This is not Botox, filler or mesotherapy—nothing is injected through the needles.
Some people choose this appointment because they would like their face to look more rested. Others notice tension around the forehead, jaw or neck, or simply want a calm treatment focused on the face.
If your main concern is jaw pain, sudden facial asymmetry, altered sensation or another worrying symptom, medical assessment may be the right first step.
HOW IT MAY WORK
Traditional point selection and a local tissue response
From a physiological perspective, a needle stimulates sensory nerves and creates a small local response in the skin and underlying tissue. Research into the cosmetic effects of facial acupuncture remains limited.
There is not strong evidence for promises about collagen, permanently smoother lines or results comparable with aesthetic medicine. It is best understood as a gentle, non-surgical facial treatment with an individual response.

Conversation and assessment
Natasza asks about your expectations, your skin, any tendency to bruise and relevant health information.

An explained plan
You agree the areas to be treated. Make-up does not always need to be removed; Natasza will explain if this is necessary.

Treatment adapted to your comfort
Sterile, single-use needles are placed at selected facial points and any other agreed areas.
You remain in a comfortable position. You can report discomfort or ask for a needle to be removed at any time.

An unhurried finish
After the needles are removed, Natasza checks the skin and explains individual aftercare when it is useful.
SENSATIONS
The face can feel more sensitive than other areas
You may feel a brief, light prick. Warmth, tingling, slight tension or a dull ache can follow.
The face has a rich blood supply, so a tiny drop of blood or a bruise can occur. These reactions are usually mild and short-lived, although a bruise can remain visible for several days.
Tell Natasza immediately if any sensation feels uncomfortable.
SAFETY AND SUITABILITY
Cautious treatment in a delicate area
Nat Medica always uses sterile, single-use needles. Facial acupuncture is not provided to people taking anticoagulant medicines.
Pregnancy, a child's age, recent aesthetic procedures, skin condition and complex medical histories all need individual consideration.
If there is an active skin infection, an unhealed wound or another concern, the appointment may be changed or postponed.
Common questions
Good to know before your visit
Does facial acupuncture hurt?
The face can be more sensitive, so some points are more noticeable. Severe pain is not the aim and any needle can be adjusted or removed.
Do I need to remove my make-up?
Not always. If make-up needs to be removed from part of the face, Natasza will explain this before treatment.
Can the treatment leave marks?
A tiny drop of blood, redness or a small bruise is possible. A bruise may remain visible for several days.
Is it like Botox or filler?
No. Acupuncture does not immobilise muscles and nothing is injected. Any effect is usually subtler and varies from person to person.
Is a natural lift guaranteed?
No. “Natural lift” is the service name, not a promise of a particular result.
How many appointments do I need?
There is no single correct number. You can consider your experience after the first visit and decide for yourself whether to return.
Can I book after an aesthetic procedure?
This needs individual assessment and details of the procedure and date. If there is uncertainty, advice from the person who performed it may be needed.
